Macy's Petite Dresses Clearance - Holiday Office Party

Hi Ladies,

It's that time of year again! When all companies need to cram in an office party before the year is up. If you are part of the planning committee you probably started thinking about this at the beginning of December. Then by the time you got all the approvals, you realized that this week is the last week before everyone goes on Holiday. Then you spent all your time organizing, and since you are hosting the party  you need to look special and are stuck hunting for the perfect dress at the last minute. If you are an attendee, you have probably put off shopping because the malls are so crazy. Well, I can help! Look no farther than Macy's Petite Dresses Clearance online section. At this point you'll probably have to do overnight shipping, but with these sale prices...who cares? When I go to Macy's site, I like to sort by lowest price and work my way down. I always find some gems! What are your favorites from below?

I love this dress! I wish I had a holiday office party to wear it to. :( It covers up all the necessary bits, so it's appropriate for an office party, but it has that cute bow. I would recommend wearing it with some great black pumps and a clutch and let the dress speak for itself!

If you work in a more formal work environment, this dress is perfect because it's covers your arms with the cap sleeves. It's a black sheath so you can dress it up any way you want: a statement necklace, a simple diamond necklace and elegant pumps, a fur stole...the options are limitless!

This dress is more festive and you can throw on a black blazer to stay warm and tone down the festiveness if you desire. :)

This dress could be worn if you work in a more creative environment. Add a cute black blazer to stay warm.

Take care Ladies and Happy Holidays!

Curvy, Petite Outfit Ideas | Professional and Casual-Chic Fashion and Style Inspiration | Shopping Haul: Petite Legging + Jegging Review
Hi Ladies,
Golden leaves, apple cider, jeans and leggings - that's what I think of when I think of fall. :) My street is lined with lovely trees, Starbucks has brought back their fall menu and I've got a drawer full of petite-length leggings. To me, that's a perfect way to start the season!

Navy and Stripes (Nautical) Outfit

Hi Ladies,
I'm sharing one of my favorite work outfits today: stripes, color blocking and collars...I love! How was your weekend? I spent mine at the local farmer's market and organizing my closet. I was hot as Hades in the Bay area this weekend...97 degrees!! I felt like I was back in Phoenix. Anyway, take care and have a great next week! :)

My New Living Room

Hi Ladies,
Whew! I finally moved in and finished decorating, so I thought I'd share my rooms with you over the next few weeks. Today is my favorite...the Living Room.

I had forgotten how hard it is to move to a new city and start a new job, so I really need to take those couple weeks off from blogging. It feels like it was so much longer, but I can't wait to start chatting with everyone again! :)Bright and Modern Living Room Decoration

Things I won't miss about Phoenix

Hi Ladies.
A few week's ago I shared some of my favorite things about phoenix. This week I'll share some of the things that I never got used to...

  • Guns and UPS don't mix!
What do guns and UPS have to do with each other? I don't know, but what I do know is that due to Arizona's open carry law, you find guns in the weirdest, most uncomfortable places. I had never seen a gun in real life, but since I moved to Phoenix I've seen 2 HUGE ones. The first was strapped to a man's hip as he casually leaned against the entrance of my suburban Target. The second was strapped to what looked like a teenager's hip in UPS. What really upset me about the UPS one was that she was WORKING there! Yes, the mail sorter at my local UPS, in ultra posh Scottsdale, was so concerned about her safety that she needed to strap a luger to her thigh while sorting the mail...

Come on! The only thing that people in Scottsdale do is shop, eat and go to spas and this store is placing it's faith in a teenager?? I don't get it!

This is what I believe she thought she looked like...it's a little intimidating when all you want to do is mail your shoes back to Zappos.
  • The weather
I know I say this a lot, but I'll say it one last time...it's soooo hot in Phoenix! I'm from the South, so I know heat, but I never hated heat until I moved to Phoenix. Check out the average high temperatures below. May is an average of 95 degrees!!!!

May Weather
Average temperature: 82
Average high temperature: 95

June Weather

  • Snakes
This last one is kinda cool, but also not. I have a fondness for snakes. I'm kinda scared of them, but they also seem pretty cool. (When I found a small one on the sidewalk, like the black one at the bottom, I stopped to poke it.) :) However, phoenix has huge rattlesnakes, which are not cute! They are especially un-cute when curled around a lamppost that you just put your foot down next to while out for a jog. Also, to make it worse...the snake didn't even flinch...I put my foot down within 6 inches of his head and he didn't move a muscle! I freaked out and did a little dance, but he was so sure that I would move out of his way that he didn't even move...I don't like that :(

I don't want to leave on a bad note, so I'll add one last thing I love about Phoenix...they know how to appreciate a rainstorm! When it rains, people go out on thier porch to watch it...you appreciate it like Sourtherns appreciate snow. (On average it rains just 8 inches a year there, compared to Atlanta which gets 49 inches a year.) To top it all off, the sky is vast, with not buildings to get in the way, so rainbows will literally arc across the whole sky! People pull over to the side of the road to look at them, like this person did here. :)

Take care ya'll! Next week I expect to have some pics of my new place...Yay!!!

Out of Office

Hi Ladies,
Well, I tried to keep up with my posts during the move and start of the new job, but I finally had to admit that I'm beat! I'm going to have to put my blog on hold for a few weeks until I can get settled and finally start taking some pictures. My next post will be the first week of September. Take care! I'll miss chatting with you. :(

Surf's Up Vox Box Review

Hi Ladies,
I received a Vox Box from Influenster with products to review. I thought I'd share my favorite ones. :)

First Aid Shot Therapy

I really liked this single serving of liquid pain reliever. I suffer from migraines and my doctor always tells me to take Children's Motrin, because it's in liquid form and will be absorbed quicker. Unfortunately, it's so nasty and I have to drink so much of it that I'd rather just wait for the pills to work. (DO NOT try taking the Target brand version...it's even worse!) Anyway, I found First Shot to have a pleasant taste...kinda like what I remember Children's Cherry Flavored Tylenol to taste like. Plus, it's adult strength, so I don't have to drink a cup of it!

My only complaint is that in includes a pain reliever + caffeine. I know that caffeine can sometimes help migraines, but it can also trigger them. Plus, it's dehydrating. I currently have a migraine routine that works for me, but I would consider buying this if I'm out and need quick relief. It's a little pricey for regular use. I saw it in Walgreens for about $2 a bottle.

Sinflul Colors Nail Polish in Why Not

This new polish company has been getting a lot of press lately. As you can see from my pic below, Consumer Reports says it's better than a $27 bottle of Chanel polish, but is only $2!! While I did love the color, it chipped after 2 days, even though I used it with my L'Oreal Gel Laque. Maybe it was just this color, so for $2...I'd give it another try! :)

CoverGirl Bombshell Volume Mascara

This is a 2-step "mascara system" that includes a primer. I normally don't like having to do this extra step and have yet to see any primer that made a difference. Unfortunately, this mascara won't be changing my opinion. I felt that it worked as well as the other CoverGirl Lashblast mascaras, which I really love and added a lot of volume. However, it didn't work better than the ones without primer, plus it made my lashes feel dry. It also has to be removed with an oil based remover. :(

Have you tried any of these products?
