How to style a swing dress - (Weekend Style)
Have you tried swing dresses yet? I love them because they are comfy and drape well over curves. Plus, there are millions of them in stores right now! I can't think of a body type they wouldn't work on. Here are a couple tips when shopping and styling:

Pink & Green Anthropologie Dupe - (Business Casual Attire)
Sigh, I really do love Anthropologie. Their stuff is so cute, feminine and always unique! My only issue is that their prices can be out of this world and the things I want seem to never go on sale. :(

Dear Mother Nature, a small request, please... (A Cooking Disaster)
(Dear Readers,
Today's post is a slight departure from our regularly scheduled fashion programming, but it's relevant to everyone!)
Dear Mother Nature,
While I have always respected your judgment and appreciated your design esthetic (love the amber waves of grain and purple mountain magesties!) I do have one thing that I wanted to discuss with you...
Why did you feel the need to put a tiny, dead caterpillar in my one of my sugar snap peas last week?

Black Maxi Dress - (Weekend Style)
Hi Ladies,
I love maxi dresses for summer, don't you? They are so soft and easy to put on! If they are made out of cotton, then they keep you cool and can hide razor stubble if you forgot to shave. :)

Red Maxi Dress - (Weekend Style)
This maxi dress is another hit from Old Navy! I can't say it enough, but they are really hitting it out of the park this season! This dress goes all the way up to an XL Petite and they have a really cute plus size maxi here. It also comes in black and cobalt.

Floral Maxi Dress - (Weekend Style)
Hi Ladies,
Today's post is about a lesser known, inexpensive source for petite and curvy clothes. They even have a pretty decent supply in store: KOHL'S!

Random Wednesdays: 5 Reasons Cats will never take over the world!
I'm taking a break from my regular fashion programming to bring you an important Public Service Announcement:
Hi Citizens of the Earth,
Lately, there seems to be a lot of talk on the internet about what cats do when you aren't looking or what they are up to while you are at work. I've even seen some helpful articles on how to tell if your cat is plotting to kill you. If all this fear mongering makes you nervous, fear not! I have 5 reasons why cats will never take over the world!

Yellow Cardi & Khaki Pencil Skirt - (Business Casual Attire)
Hi Ladies,
Here's another take on my Chadwick's pink plaid skirt, see the other post here. Even though it has a small line of pink in it I'm finding it to be amazingly versatile!

Capris & Sweater - (Weekend Style)
Hi Ladies,
Sometimes a petite women's best friend is separates instead of a dress. Dresses have to fit perfectly at the waist, shoulders, etc. However if you buy two items that fit, you can make a perfect outfit!

Red Striped T-Shirt Dress - (Weekend Style)
Ok, so this is not what I would label as Business Casual. (Although depending on what you do...maybe it is?) :) I couldn't resists this little dress from Old Navy...who doesn't love stripes???

Black & White Stripe Dress & Green Cardi (Business Casual Attire)
Ok, so I couldn't decide how I wanted to style this dress. I also couldn't decide on the right venue. It was hot as Hades outside, I could barely stay in a solid form. Then the camera wasn't working right.

How to Pick a Tailor (Tailoring Tips)
As you know, I'm a pretty big proponent of tailoring. So, when one of my favorite bloggers (Cynthia from Marcy Very Much) asked me how to find a good tailor - I jumped at the chance!
I've been using a tailor regularly since I graduated from college. I loved collared shirts from Banana Republic, but if I got the size that fit my waist, then it was too tight under the arms ... this really pissed me off! So, one day I was complaining to my sister when she said, "Why don't you just get the larger size and get it tailored?" It was such a simple response, but it revolutionized my wardrobe. If you still don't believe me, I'll relate a story I read in a fashion mag once.

Hi Ladies,
I'm loving this dress from Old Navy! They have really been hitting it out of the park this season in the dress department! I've bought 10 dresses from them in the past few months and I'm loving all of them. I also really love the price! So, why do I think this dress will look great on anyone?

Tailoring Tips: Petite or Curvy Dress Tailoring
Hi Ladies,
I picked up this cute, little dress at Old Navy for about $15. It was the perfect weight for summer (cotton with a little spandex) and the fit and flair cut is great for me! I live in the south, so I pretty much live in cotton dresses until November. Unfortunately, they didn't carry it in Petites, and as you can see from the "Before" picture, it didn't fit great.

Best Jumpsuits & Rompers for the Petite or Curvy (Weekend Style)
Hi Ladies,
I ran across these Rompers on Eloquii and they are soooo cute! (They sell Plus sizes 14 - 24). Isn't the green lace one fantastic?
I also ran across these ones in Petite at Old Navy. Not only are they cute, but so affordable!
I really want one! I ordered the one below from Old Navy, but the pleats in the front and longish length made me look like a toddler in need of a diaper change. :(
Interestingly, I started watching James Bond's Gold Finger and realized that he is the original rocker of rompers! Can anyone explain how Sean Connery can look so hot in a pale-blue-terry-cloth-daisy-duke romper, with a matching belt no less? I don't get it!

What do you think about rompers (on men or women)?
