OOTD: Pussy Bows Galore!

Hi Ladies,
I loooove these pants from Gap! Bright colors cheer me up and these are so comfortable to sit in. Did I mention that Gap makes them every season in a new fun color? (Right now it's cobalt blue.)

So, I've paired these pants with another favorite of mine: Bow Neck blouses (aka. Pussy Bow blouses). There were a couple fit issues that I had with this outfit, as I always do since I"m only 5'2":
1. I shortened the pants.
2. I took in the sides of the blouse for a more fitted look.
3. When I originally did a single loop with the bow...it hung down too far (see pic). This will probably look good on a tall person, but not on me. So, I looped the the bottom tie over the knot a few times so it would be shorter. I would also try to copy how Gap styled the knot: (see pic).

Thanks for visiting with me today! I hope you have a week full of outfits that make you smile. :)

  4. Love the green & white combo, and I always appreciate hearing the alterations you have to make to get the look that you have. If only everything fit straight off the rack! Ugh.

    1. I know that's why i don't buy expensive clothes! If I have to drop $50 altering a dress, it can't start off as $200!!

  5. Alterations are so necessary when you're petite! I love the gorgeous emerald color of the pants!

  16. I love the vibrant colors too. Green is my favorite of all. You look fantastic!
You know, it never occurred to me that I could take a blouse in at the sides to make it more fitted. I will have to try that. Do you do your own alterations or do you take them to a seamstress?

    1. Oh gosh...sewing on a button is about as crafty as I get, but I really admire people who do! No, I find a few tailors that I love and use them. Do you sew? (Just remember to sit down once she pins you, sometimes they pin it tightly and it's uncomfortable when you sit.)

    2. Buttons are about as far as I get too! lol
Thank you for the advice about sitting. I never would have known to do that.
