14 Ways Jewelry can Spruce up a Tee for Spring

14 Ways to Spruce up a Tee for Spring!Hi Ladies,
Have you checked out Nordstom's jewelry section lately? (BTW...they now carry Baublebar in their stores.) OMG!! They have some cute stuff and a lot of it is surprisingly well priced. (They can't beat F21, but the quality is definitely better. :) ) After getting all excited, I realized that between Hautelook, Wantables and Banana Republic, I'd already bought a ton of jewelry this spring. Therefore, I did the next best thing and curated a set for you. Hope you enjoy! (Checkout the bottom of the page for a funny story. :) )

A girlfriend came over to watch Frozen with me (which was not good) and we thought it would be "fun" to introduce her dog (Bailey) to my cats. By "fun", I mean fun for her and me. The cats ranged from mistrustful to openly hostile, and the dog wandered around, obviously feeling uncomfortable. (To be fair, as soon as he came in, he went straight for their water and food bowl, so maybe they were trying to teach him some manners...)
As you can see, Minnie varied from looking down on him from a position of superiority...
to raising her paw in either a "gross what is that...don't touch me!" or "I'm about to smack you!" gesture...
to staring him down...
to shadowing his every move, as if he was going to pocket our valuables...
however, Minnie's treatment was loads better than Mary's openly hostile stance...lol...can you believe she stayed puffy like that for an hour? The dog didn't go near her and barely looked at her, but she was ready the whole time...
(full disclosure: Mary often does this for fun. I will be sitting in a room, minding my own business and she'll run into the room, raise her shackles and then run off. She's a piece of work! I can even pet her when she's like this.)
P.S. Yes, I know it was wrong for us to get so much entertainment out of an obviously tense situation, but I'm categorizing my motives under "broadening their horizons" and "maybe they'll learn to like dogs one day...". :)

  1. Great jewelry pic's! All of those statement necklaces are amazing! Your dog/cat story is hilarious! We used to have a cat that would do the same thing to our dog - it took years for them to finally become friends!

  3. LOL at the dog vs. cat showdown!! I feel like I just watched something on National Geographic Wild channel. Super cute jewelry selections! It's nice to create those sets when you're trying NOT to shop, isn't it? Kind of cathartic. Although sometimes it still makes me shop, but still...theoretically it helps.

  10. Ooh so many gorgeous necklaces!

That is really funny about Minnie and Bailey. :) My dogs go absolutely crazy if they see a cat outside! I can only imagine what would happen if they were in the same room with one, haha.

    1. Yeah, thank god the dog was so calm...my friend used to own a cat, so he's comfortable around them. If only my kitties were more friendly!

  11. Good thing Minnie kept a close watch on that dog. He looks suspicious. ;) But cute too! And oh poor Mary - she was not having it, huh? I bet she was tired after being puffed up for an hour.
So funny - Freddy and I watched Frozen last night. I didn't care for it either.
So my problem is that I can't find a white tshirt. They are all too sheer lately. Aaargh. I want a cheap not sheer white tshirt - or two - and I can't find one anywhere. Love that blue and coral necklace.

    1. LOL...I know...I feel bad that I find these pictures so cute :). As for the tee...did you check j crew factory's crew neck yet? I found them to be a little more opaque than the others, but still cute. The also have a v-neck. Good luck!

  12. Aww - I loved Frozen! I've seen it twice already! haha! It def was not what I expected it to be - very grown up, but I guess a lot of animated movies are!
I love that Baublebar is in Nordstrom now! Dangerous! And that top middle necklace is my favorite, though I would take one of each of your picks to be honest!
And for the record - I've always thought your content was good! ;)
