Petite Extravaganza w/ The Limited!!

Hi Ladies,
I'm so excited that The Limited has started offering Petites! I've always loved their bright colors and cute, classic looks, but could not love them like I wanted to because their jackets and dresses didn't fit me right. However, starting this month, they now offer Petites! Here are some of my favorites from the collection, plus how I altered them for the perfect fit. They also offer shipping outside the U.S.; click here for details and other cool stores that do the same. (Note: this is not a paid or sponsored post, but I may make a few cents if you click on the affiliate links.)

P.S. Sorry that I have the "Inmate in a women's federal prision" expression in most of these pics, but concentrating is hard work!

Sizing: I bought a Large Petite. I usually size up in form fitting, clingy dresses and think that this one fits similar to a Large Petite at Banana Republic, GAP and Ann Taylor.

I love the color and light weight material, so this one is definitely a keeper! :)
Sizing: I bought a Medium Petite. I think it fits similar to the same size blazers at Banana Republic, GAP and Ann Taylor.

Sizing: I bought a Medium Petite. I think it fits similar to the same size blazers at Banana Republic, GAP and Ann Taylor.

Sizing: I bought a 12 Petite, because the 10P wasn't comfortable in the waist when I sat. Shortening the straps may have fixed that, but I wanted to play it safe. I think it fits similar to the same size at Banana Republic, GAP and Ann Taylor.

Sizing: I bought a Medium Petite. I think it fits similar to the same size at Banana Republic, GAP and Ann Taylor.

*Price: The prices reflects a BOGO sale that was going on at the time, plus I had a $30 Reward Card. They always have great sales like this, so sign up for their emails to be notified.

Have fun checking them out...I would love to hear what you buy and how you like it!

  2. Ooh, nice job adding the captions to your images! Very helpful. Did your intern do that? Have her call my intern. :) That's great that Limited is adding some petite options- you chose some great pieces. I'm especially loving the coral dress and green dot blouse!

  3. Those blazers are great. I especially love the green one. Can't wait to see how they compare after alterations since they already look good. Oh - and how nifty that you wrote on the pictures!

  4. Hi Merrie! Loving your Limited picks! I've never shopped there before....we don't have too many locations in the LA area (if any)! But that never stopped me lol.....I could always order online! That red dress is so pretty! :)

    1. I feel kinda dorky that I know this, considering that I don't live in LA, but there is one at the glendale galleria near pasadena...but I guess that's not really close to L.A. either...lol :)
